Join testing

Read this page first, then ask to be added. Google Play internal testing only works for accounts the developer adds by hand.

Step 1 — Request access by email

Internal testing on Google Play does not let random installs. You must use the same Google account email you use in the Play Store. After you send the request below, the developer will manually add your address to the tester list in Play Console. Until that is done, the tester invite link will not work for you.

If the button does not open your mail app, send the same request yourself to from any email client.

Step 2 — After you are added

Wait for confirmation (or try again later the same day once you know you were added).
Open Open tester invite below (or scan the Play QR). Sign in with the same Google account you requested with.
Accept the Play invitation, then install or update Swanie's Portfolio from the Google Play Store.

Two different links: This page opens the same site on your phone. Play testing is the Google Play tester invite (opt-in / install) — set TESTER_URL when you have it.

About these QR codes & privacy

Site QR encodes this marketing page’s URL so someone at a desk can jump to the same page on mobile without typing. It is not the Play Store install link.

Tester QR encodes your Google Play internal or closed-testing invite URL (the long play.google.com/… link). Scanning it skips retyping that URL on a phone.

Both codes are drawn entirely in your browser using the open-source QRCode.js file shipped in this site (website/js/qrcode.min.js). No third-party “QR image API” is called.

Owner: set TESTER_REQUEST_EMAIL in the script to the inbox where you receive tester requests. Set PLAY_URL when the public store listing exists. Optional: SITE_SHARE_URL for a canonical https:// homepage if the site QR is wrong locally.
